2016 SATS results

As you may be aware, the Government introduced a more challenging curriculum which does not operate within a best-fit model of levelled outcomes. Assessment without levels (AWL) is done in different ways for different subjects.

English Writing Writing is assessed by teachers only and there is no formal test.  It uses a portfolio of work and children are required to meet all elements of the criteria to be awarded a threshold.  In 2016
