Ms P Burgess B.Ed Hons – Headteacher
Paola Burgess graduated from North London University with a degree in Education. She has worked in London for the majority of her teaching career. She worked in Westminster for 3 years, and then in Camden for the next 10 years. Ms Burgess was head of an outstanding primary school in Camden, before moving to Hampshire. Ms Burgess has worked in two schools in Basingstoke before joining Grange Community Junior School in September 2010.
Mrs. C Rawles, B.Sc, PGCE – Year 6 Classteacher (Acting Deputy Headteacher)
Mrs Rawles is an experienced teacher having taught in Hertfordshire in a Primary School before coming to Grange Community Junior School in 1999. She was a Leading Mathematics teacher for Hampshire County Council.
Mr D Neve B.Ed Hons Oxon, NPQH – (17/18 Secondment as Interim Assistant Headteacher at Fernhill (Secondary) School – p/t PPA Cover teacher here)
Mr Neve graduated from Oxford in 1993 with a degree in French and Education. He is also Pipe Organist, having been Organ Scholar at College, Asst. Organist at SS Mary and John in Cowley and is now Asst. Organist in Hawley. He began his career teaching 9 -13 year olds in a Windsor Middle School, where he was head of Music, French and Assistant Head of Upper School. He moved to Farnborough in 1998 and has taught at Grange Community Junior School since then working up to being Deputy Headteacher. In April 2006 he graduated from the National College of School Leadership with the National Professional Qualification for Headteachers. In Summer 2012 he was appointed as a Hampshire Keystage 2 Writing Moderator. Mr. Neve is on secondment 1 day a week to his neighbouring Secondary School as an Associate Senior Leader.
Mrs. L Williams (Née Vodden) B.Ed Hons – Inclusion Manager
Mrs Williams graduated from Trinity College, Carmarthen in 1999 with a degree in Mathematics and has taught at Grange Community Junior School since then. She is an experienced Primary Practioner who has taught throughout the school. In 2015 she gained her SEN Accreditation.
Mr R P Williams, B.Ed Hons – Year 5 Classteacher
Mr Williams graduated from Trinity College, Carmarthen in 1998 with a degree in Science and Education and has taught at Grange Community Junior School since then. He is an experienced Primary Practioner who has taught throughout the school. In 2007 he was appointed as a Leading English Teacher by Hampshire County Council.
Mrs. H Wiffen, B.A., MSc, PGCE – Year 3 Classteacher
Mrs Wiffen graduated from Brunel University in 1996 with a degree in Business Administration. following her P.G.C.E. in Secondary Education (Business Studies & I.T.), she became a lecturer in Lyon University, France, teaching on the Applied Languages Degree Course. After several years as a Curriculum Manager in an F.E. College in the East Midlands, and gaining a Masters in Information Technology, she worked within the Children Services department in local Government, responsible for the achievement and attainment of local schools. In 2011 Mrs Wiffen returned to teaching at KS2. Mrs Wiffen lives with her family and moved to Farnborough in August 2012. Until 2017, she has taught Year 6. She is currently responsible for English within the school.
Mrs L Glover (née Robbins), B.Ed Hons – Year 3 Classteacher
Mrs Glover graduated from Plymouth University in 2012 with a degree in English and Education. She started teaching Year 4 at Grange and has since moved to teaching Year 3. She is currently responsible for Computing within the school.
Mrs. E Best, B.A. Hons, PGCE – (P/T) – Support Teacher
Mrs Best went to Warwick University where she undertook a degree in English Literature, graduating in 2003. After working as a teaching assistant for three years, she subsequently took a PGCE teaching certificate at Reading University and qualified in 2007. Mrs Best has taught at Grange since January 2008. Her specialities include English, particularly Reading. Outside of school, her hobbies include running.
Mrs H King, B.Ed Hons – (P/T) – Year 5 Classteacher
Mrs. King previously worked at Charles Kingsley Primary school.
Mrs S Elliott-Collier (P/T) B.Ed Hons – ppa (RE) Teacher
Mrs Elliott-Collier started work in the school in 2010, having been a senior member of staff in another school before taking time out to have her family. She has now returned to teaching, supporting PPA time by teaching Religious Education throughout the school and releasing teachers for continuing professional development.

Miss Bramley, B.A., CELTA, PGCE- Year 4 Teacher
Mrs T J Baptiste, B.A. (Hons), GTP – Year 4 Class Teacher
Mrs Baptiste was employed as an Executive Assistant in London for several years before a six year maternity break prior to entering the field of education. She graduated from Greenwich University in 2007 with a degree in Education Studies and completed the Graduate Teacher Programme at Canterbury Christ Church University. Before becoming a teacher, she had been a Teaching Assistant in the London borough of Bexley for eight years. She became Head of Year 3 at her first school in Welling before moving to Wiltshire with her husband who serves in the military. Mrs Baptiste has taught in numerous primary and junior schools (across the key stages ) in London, Wiltshire, Shropshire, Birmingham and Lincolnshire before moving to Hampshire in 2015.
Ms M Chegwyn B.Ed – p/t Year 5 Classteacher
Mrs Chegwyn graduated from Loughborough College of Education with a degree in English, Drama and Education. For the first ten years of her teaching career she worked for The London Borough of Hillingdon. On moving down to Hampshire, she spent several years working at a North Baddesley Junior as Senior Teacher. A year ago she decided to give up full time teaching but, not wishing to leave teaching altogether, she is delighted to be joining the staff at Grange Junior School for the next few weeks.
Outside of school, her hobbies include the theatre, music, walking and travelling. She has enjoyed many a summer holiday travelling the continent with her husband who works part time for Hampshire Music Service. Outside of school, her hobbies include the theatre, music, walking and travelling.
