LSA (with the opportunity to train as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant)

Contract Fixed term, Part time (27 hours a week)

Salary type support staff Grade B range £16,905-£17,148 pa pro rata.

Hours of work 8.30am-3.15pm Monday-Friday term time only

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated LSA to work 27 hours a week in our friendly and supportive Key stage 2 team. The duties will be split between working with groups and individuals in class and organising and leading intervention strategies for small groups/individuals outside of the classroom.  You will also be expected to teach classes whilst training to become a HLTA. You would be mentored throughout the entire HLTA training process

We are looking for someone who has the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification or experience
  • An ability to use ICT effectively to support learning
  • Good communication skills and able to clarify and explain instructions clearly
  • Excellent literacy/numeracy skills
  • Team worker
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
  • Nurture experience preferable

Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Cover Role

Salary type Support Staff Grade C/D range £17,973-£21,479 pa pro rata (Dependant on experience)

Hours of work 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday Term Time Only

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated HLTA to work 27 hours a week in our friendly and supportive Key stage 2 team.  We are looking for someone who could provide cover for whole classes Yr3 to YR6 following the planning provided. You would work on all aspects across the curriculum with the exception of PE. You would be expected to liaise with class teachers around individual children and identify the next steps needed and provide feedback to the children and staff.

We are looking for someone who has the following attributes:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification and meet Higher Level Teaching Assistants standards
  • Professionally discreet and able to respect confidentiality
  • An ability to use ICT effectively to support learning
  • Good communication skills and able to clarify and explain instructions clearly
  • Excellent literacy/numeracy skills
  • Team worker
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
